Job Description

We are looking to add to our team an amazing Lead Caregiver in Northern Colorado and Cheyenne!! This job description outlines your primary responsibilities as a Lead caregiver. This description is not meant to be an exhaustive list of services, as the exact duties to be performed for each assignment will vary. Prior to beginning a new assignment, Senior Helpers will provide you with background information about your client and review any special needs this client may have. Objective: To provide professional caregiver services and to help clients maintain their independence and to assist them with household and family support services. Reports to: Caregiver Manager Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  • Companionship & conversation
  • Light housekeeping
  • Household management
  • Errands
  • Apparel selection (i.e. laying out clothes)
  • Meal planning & preparation
  • Laundry & linen changing
  • Medication reminders
  • Transportation using client’s vehicle.
In sleep-over or live in situations * Prepare sleeping area at night. Other Requirements
  • Training of new caregivers – Anyone new or anyone that needs further help.
  • Coordinate the arrangement/transport of clients to scheduled appointments and per individual need/request. -
  • Provide the required monthly progress report, or incident report – This needs to be filled out and turned in on a monthly or when needed basis.
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing of bed linens, positioning, transfer, mobility, and incontinence care. Maintain cleanliness of facility as in accordance with cleaning policies.
  • Enforce policies and procedures of Senior Helpers to ensure quality control.
  • Use interpersonal skills and effective communication skills.
  • Offer shadowing opportunities to new or current Caregivers.
  • Fill in on emergency staffing needs.
  • Conduct unannounced visits to clients’ home to observe care being provided
  • Maintain regular communication with office staff.
  • Demonstrates high accountability and leadership skills.
